One mutual friend - - - that's all that connected me to this Oklahoma couple, and I'm SO thankful for her!
I met Julia and RJ the same day as their engagement session, so we sat down for about an hour at Loco Cafe beforehand to chat over coffee and get familiar with each other. I've realized over time that the best way to really capture the essence of two people - separately and together - is to get to know who they really are and watch them interact without a camera in their face. That time with them was so precious to me, and I'm grateful I was able to snap a few quick candid photos to document it!
**Shoutout to Loco for letting us stick around 30 minutes after closing! Y'all are seriously the best!**
These two are as sweet as they come. You can tell how much they treasure the other person just by looking into their eyes. I left Loco feeling like we had met several times before, and I left their session just hours later feeling like we had been friends for years.
To the soon-to-be Mr + Mrs Ponder,
You were the absolute best possible way to kick off my year! Thanks so much for bringing your A-game on such a chilly January day. How I ever narrowed this post down to 30 photos, I'll never know. :)
I feel so blessed to have had the chance to meet you both, and I pray that these next two months will be so sweet as you make the final preparations for your wedding and your marriage.
