There will never be enough words to describe what this day meant to me.
The STUNNING bride in the pictures below has been a friend of mine since we met at the college of visual art and design at UNT about 6 years ago. We were part of a group of students who travelled to Italy in the summer of 2012 for a 5-week program involving figure drawing and sketching all over Florence, Rome, and Venice. As a photography major, sketching and drawing was never my strong suit, but Madelyn is the real deal. She has an eye for detail, and you can see that in everything she does - including her INCREDIBLE, photorealistic paintings.
Last week was a crazy week for our country. Hatred and division was evidenced all over social media, and it was disheartening to say the least. In my mind, Madelyn and Mar'Shauwn's wedding could not have been more perfectly timed. Their day was full of joy, unity, laughter, energy, emotion, and love, and I left that evening feeling so uplifted and encouraged.
On top of getting to witness one of my friends marry the love of her life, I got to shoot one of the most beautiful weddings EVER with people who felt like family. Check out a few of my favorite moments from the Madelyn and Mar'Shauwn's special day!
Madelyn and Mar'Shauwn, thank you SO much for asking me to photograph your wedding. Picking favorites for this blog post was SO HARD, but there are so many more great images to come.
Have an incredible time on your honeymoon, Mr + Mrs Grays!
